Departing from the serious y'all, because... well... I've learned from a couple of silly little monkeys I wrestle with each day that you just can't always take life too seriously!
I've been duly warned that this is a no make-up, messy hair, barefoot, country girl version of me... but I didn't think you'd expect me to be in my little black dress... and I just wouldn't change these easy kind of days for the world! :) However if you make it by here this summer, I'll promise fresh, sweet jam from ripe, wild blackberries on tender, golden biscuits straight from the oven and my best June Cleaver dress-heels-lipstick-apron-pearls coiffed appearance... deal? See you soon. :)
Where to begin?
Yes, the tongue is imperative to concentration!
Seems the first strawberries of the season always taste the best.
Noah Bear planted a whole envelope of red poppies in the corner before I knew what he had in his hand. He said he wanted to make my garden beautiful. And just because he said that... they will be the most beautiful red poppies I've ever seen.
My favorite time of day by the creek, when the long rays of afternoon sun stream across the bank.
Time to gather up and hit the tub.
Coffee on the deck... swinging gently until the sun falls behind the timber.
Cream and sugar?
