Time passes so quickly these days... as water through my fingers. Surely Christmas had not arrived in a blink. Yet I woke in the middle of the night last night to find a gift in the quiet of the darkness... waiting to be opened.
How many of us who write, who blog, have found ourselves falling asleep over the keyboard? Keys click-clack into the wee hours when the world stills enough for thoughts to flow. As I closed out of applications, I noticed a blog visit from a familiar name... The Homeschool Post. I clicked over and found my little corner of the world listed among those I admire, among friends, among those who welcomed me into the blogging community not even a year ago. I paused at that screen with tears of appreciation.
According to my dashboard, this is my 100th post. Thank you for making it a special surprise gift. To the outstanding team at The Homeschool Post, you have well achieved your mission in uplifting homeschool writers! Thank you! I visited your site many times to find writers, photographers, homeschoolers... friends. To the sweet encourager(s) out there responsible for my nomination... I am honored and humbled in the same breath. To those of you who visit this little prairie patch to kick at the dirt about life, unedited, thank you... from my heart.
For nearly ten years now, God has had a special way of reaching down to me. At particularly tender moments, from out of nowhere, He sends a rainbow... His smile... His assurance... His personal touch of an Abba Father. As I combed through my photo gallery for an image to mark not only my 100th post, but now this gift to be among the "Best Photos and Artistic Content Blog" nominees, what did I find at the very bottom... in a folder where it did not belong... not yet chosen for a post? A rainbow. I smiled back.
Won't you please stop by The Homeschool Post to vote for your favorite blogs... and discover some new gems? From my heart,
Susan
